With impressively bad lyrics, high pitched squealing vocals, and face paint you’d think this would be immediately deleted from my collection. But, no, it has a lot of cheese, but the guitar and proto-metal feel still makes it worth it…slightly.
I don’t think that’s Metallica, I think it’s my high school band. That’s the overall effect of the riffs, singing, and song structures. Of course, they did have the production help of Rick Rubin.
Bottom line: They’re trying, there is some good stuff, there is some stuff high school metal bands could top. Remember the last good album?
